Lower-impact fibres

We exist to challenge the linear fashion model that extracts, produces and discards without consequence.
Instead, we’re building a slower, more considered approach to apparel — one that respects the ocean, values longevity and considers the full lifecycle of a garment.
Where we are now
We’re focused on practical decisions that reduce waste, improve longevity and lessen our reliance on virgin resources.
We prioritise lower-impact materials, including recycled fibres such as rPET, alongside organic cotton.
Less reliance on virgin materialsWe design timeless, versatile pieces intended to be worn often, kept longer and cared for rather than quickly replaced.
Buy less. Wear more.We continue to reduce unnecessary plastic in our packaging and only use recyclable or compostable materials.
Less packaging. Less waste.
Where we're going
We don’t see circularity as a single solution. We’re building the systems needed to keep garments in use for longer and create better pathways when their first life ends.
Exploring practical ways for customers to return Saving Tides garments once their usable life comes to an end.
Developing resources and systems that make it easier to maintain, repair and extend the life of each piece.
Looking at ways to keep samples, returns and imperfect garments in circulation rather than treating them as waste.
Researching partners and pathways that can responsibly repurpose worn textiles when reuse is no longer possible.
Looking beyond the sale
We believe responsibility shouldn’t end when an order leaves our hands. As Saving Tides grows, we want to take a more active role in what happens to our products throughout — and beyond — their usable life.
The work continues
We’re still learning, improving and building better systems as we grow. We’ll keep sharing the progress — including the things we haven’t solved yet.
